Scavenger Hunt from Life #146: Jan 22 - Jan 30 , 2025

Ai, thanks so much.

Fletch, thanks. I'm not sure how much of a view of the water there is from the top of that building. I think it is a garage or barn separate from the house which is part of Meadow Croft Estate which was the home of a relative of Teddy Roosevelt. To me the structure on top of the building looks more like a water tower. I'm not sure what it is. I know when I go up to Maine to see my sister there are a lot of houses with "widow's walks." Many of them were captain's houses.

Jo, thanks. I like Trader Joe's but there isn't one close by. I like their mini dark chocolate peanut butter cups and their mini biscotti...good reasons not to have one too close. Good job on the PT equipment!

See you over in the next hunt.

Jo - Nice hatching on the exercise equipment. Nice to have it all in one place. We have it scattered all over the house.

Joan - Seeing what appears as a railing on the roof around a kind of gazebo shape made me think of a “widow’s walk”. Probably all those houses belonged to Captains or First Mates. Doubtful deckhands made enough to afford a big house.😎
