Scavenger Hunt from Life #153: Mar 19 -Mar 27

Fletch -- nice hibiscus! also looking forward to color. Looks nice and warm there... rainy and cold here today!

Ai -- thanks for the hunt!

As usual, I looked and thought I commented. Guess it was just in my head.....sigh.

Ned, the baseball sketch is amazing. I know how hard it is to sketch and watch. Concentration is needed for both. New rules in baseball for us. A double bag on first, one for runner and one for first baseman. Checking pitchers hands in and out. time clock on pitches and batters. SEC has 10 run rule on all games. Yikes. Your sketch on the coast is so beautiful. Love the lines and shadows. And, you stayed dry! The pot of azaleas is just lovely, Nice softish touch but enough detail to tell the story. Wright's Beach is a beautiful scene, thanks for the photo, too.

Joan our robot sketches are super. The crowd is so full of interest. Lots of concentration there, too. The coffee pot still life is so nice. I love the mug! Lovely color on the fruit. The ceramic pitcher is so cute and real looking. The bottle is glass and the measuring cup is metal. Great job. Fun Crab Deck. I would like to go in there.

Hi Ai, hope you get more done this next Hunt. (Me, too.) Thanks for commenting. Thanks for this Hunt!

Fletch, hey there. Life sure gets in the way sometimes. Hope you got the paperwork all done. Been stressful around here as well. Beautiful start on beautiful flowers. Mmmmm.

Fletch, thanks so much. Haven't had time lately to stop at the beach. Hopefully things will quiet down a bit once we're ready for the workmen to come in and do their handiwork on the pipes in the ceiling. I love your delicate hibiscus!! Can't wait to see you add the watercolor to it. I'm still waiting for things to start blooming here...just a few crocuses and the beginnings of daffs.

Ai, sorry you have been so busy. Hopefully you will find a little time to sketch and do art.

Okay. No drumroll and no frame. Will not even go on the fridge. But learned a lot. Mostly learned painting flowers is very very different from drawing flowers and I need to check out a few tutorials on florals. Also will keep this as I am pretty sure this is my first watercolor floral.

Keep sketching and learning
Fletch

Fletch -- I think it looks great, there's a lot to like about it! The reds are great, you got shading in the red to give the petals depth, the white at the center works great, the dark in the very center looks perfect, and the background green compliments the red really nicely. Well done! Drum roll would be fine!

Jo, looks like I missed your post. Thanks for your comments on my last few posts. I've been busy too...almost finished pulling everything out of the closets. Then I have to look at it sitting in piles until they come and do the work on the pipes. Don'g know how long that will take.

Fletch, it looks good with the color added. Doing all the folds and shadows on the flower petals takes a lot of time and concentration, but you nailed the color variation nicely!

Ai, thanks for hosting! Wish I had more time to sketch this hunt.

Fletch: Thanks for sharing us the beautiful flowers with cheerful colors.

Thanks all for joining this Hunt.
