This was a big blowup on a yard I took a picture of and painted.

My daughter went to a Christmas event when she was 8 yrs old and this was one of the cut outs. She could stick her head in the snowman. But for my card, I just made it into a snowman.

Thanks Donna. I was learning a lot doing these cards. One thing I did is I had the background painted clear and then I just decided to take a blue wash over the whole thing because it’s nighttime and I wanted it to push it into the background-which I think was really effective, especially against the clear foreground. I remember starting to be more daring when I was doing cards because they’re smaller if you have to start again. You know when you have a little inkling to try something and you’re like here goes…. And it worked!

I finally have a chance to comment on the new work.
PB what a comical reindeer wreath and the gingerbread ornament is perfect. Love the two little gnomes that look like they had too much to drink, lol. The glaze of blue did work really well to convey the nocturnal scene. These blowup decorations are really popular right now and you did such a good job painting them. Love the way you’ve painted the Christmas event cutout with the snowman face.
Grapes, those gnomes are unique. I’ve never seen one with leopard print but I hear it’s very “in” right now so he’s the height of fashion!

This was my Christmas cards this year. I’m not happy with the branch - I need to work on my bark textures, but I am quite pleased with the feathery detail of the robin.

Typical Christmas sweet in Spain, Andalusia.

Are they called "Ginger Bread" ?
Oil on a canvas piece, size: 25x25 cm.
I baked the dough although you can buy a ready made dough, then I prepared the models, put in the oven and decorated them. Then for the model stand to be painted and in the end ate them.
