Christmas paintings 2024🎄

Thanks Christine and Sanlynn. It’s a tiny painting, maybe 3x3 in. and I would have to make a photo of it fit on a card - which is why it’ packed away. I’m sure it could be done if I asked the computer-savvy young
Actually, it’s easier than that. You can go to any of the online printing shops. You download your picture and immediately you can size it up or down just like you would in your photo editing for your photos. They have a lot of sales on now too. But anywhere that does printing cards you pick out the type of paper you want, etc. So much easier than 10 years ago

I did a little painting for my wonderful friend BARB who is Charvet here. We became friends over Christmas card exchanges on another forum. She doesn’t have a big presence here, but is participating in our Christmas card exchange. She does all kinds of wonderful styles of art but she also has a lot of ladies that she paints. Not in this style. Hers are cooler, but I decided to send her a lady from me. It must’ve been around Christmas, because I had her holding poinsettias. Acrylic.

Now what does this pumpkin do in a Christmas thread?
- It's part of the larger November cactus painting which I hopefully finish soon for Dec. The orange pumpkin in the background ended up today in a soup 🍲 😋.

"Pumpkin & November Cactus" - wip, oil painting on Belgian Linen canvas.

That's a beautiful subject on its own, Grapes, and I love how you depicted the gold/green character of it.

Thanks for showing the photos of your models, Grapes. It’s good to see the inspiration for your paintings and how much charm you infuse them with. This last one is a real beauty! I love the variety of pinks and reds!

Thank you, Donna! The last one was also a bit of a challenge adding the odd fruit, lychees, there. I was looking for variation not to paint only the balls.

Well, we’ve got a lot of very beautiful work here-Grapes and Sanlynn👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Beautiful job on the shiny reflective, metallic surfaces, especially. You both have an excellent eye for capturing what you see.
