Scavenger Hunt from Life #140 - Dec 5 - 13

Need some one to hurry up and post. When I look in I keep seeing mine and each time see somerting else wrong, You all know the feeling. Think it looks good and stop. After declaring it done every time you look you see something else wrong,

Fletch

Fletch: Thanks. I see something wrong with my art works... all the time...lol... No worry. Love your water fountain sketch.

Robin that duck is cool!

Fletch -- I think the drinking fountain looks fine, that's not exactly an easy shape to get the perspective right. For me, drawing with the pen solves something -- it is what it is, and I can't fuss with it. Well, I can make fussy lines and make a mess, but I can't change it once it's on the paper. Somehow that makes it easier to let go because I know it won't be perfect.

Ai -- those donuts look decadent! The painting is cheerful and great!

#3 begins with "O", ocean beach. I was planning to stop and sketch at the next beach from this one. To get to it, you go through a cave, which I did. But the tide was coming in, and I was afraid I wouldn't get back through if I sat and drew, so I came back and stopped here for a quick sketch.

Fletch, I think we all notice things in our own work, but it really isn't obvious and other people don't notice it. lol

Robin, your duck is so cute, both from the front and the back. What does it say on the front?

Ned, I like your rocky beach. It was probably a good idea to stay at that beach instead of risking having the tide trap you at the other one. We'd have to come over and rescue you.

13 - starts with O (opener) - Procreate

Jane S - WOW!!! amazing holly.....looks so real , have to be careful not to stick a finger!

Jo C - love the colors on the woodland take....very atmospheric. Nice strocking - I always did get the most out of rooting thru the stocking...Handy fire extinguisher

Ai - hope you get to feeling better...Nice manikins and bird houses. lovely blues star..Super church sketch, very succinct detail and so small!!!! It is so cool how much you pack on a page!n Beautiful doughnut art....

Joan - so impressed with your travel portfolio!!! The scenes and sights are lively and well done. The walking shoe looks feather lite and ready to go.

Ned - great limb language....the shading is so subtle it gently breathes in the form. Yep, gotta chase the sunshine these days. Fun beach sketch.....even managed to get the horizon slopes....and what a magnificant photo.....overwhelming power

Fletch - I think the water fountain is great...looks cold, uninviting and impersonal....the shape and proportions is great....very reflective of the environment!!!

Robin, I really love your loose, expressive lines. So envious -as a beginner, I struggle to get away from just trying, and failing, to copy reality.

This was done during my morning walk thru our campus ground...we have a small flocks of geese and ducks roaming our campus front lawn...

#10 animals ...done with 2B pencil

Ai, oh my, lovely church. Such history in your sketches. The doughnuts are fun and so well done. I love to eat them and don't get to, thanks for these. My mouth is watering. Your hand squeezing the ball is excellent. Love the geese gestures.

Fletch, I feel the same with iPad sketching. You did a super job. It looks like charcoal.

Joan, happy you are home safe and sound. I hope to get Christmas decorations on the weekend. We keep a cork screw in the car like this one. You never know! Very metallic and real looking.

Oh, Robin. What a cute little duck. Love your lines and hatching. The cat is fun, good job on catching different poses. Love the "hanging" in red ink, I'm smiling.

Ned, the safe sketch is a great one. The view is amazing and you captured the distance very well.

I played in the pastels after Gene went to bed. Nice and quiet ... peaceful.
Number 6, 7 and 8 - red (apples) blue bowl and glass and round grapes.

Yes the Texas Roadhouse restaurants have lots of wood and different artifacts, so Joan's sketch is authentic! Oddly enough they started in Clarksville, Indiana. https://www.texasroadhouse.com/about-us
