Joan - lovely steps and flower bed piece. The shadows from plants and step ledges add so much depth. great job on the background latice and siding textures-the light greys make the light warm. The stop sign is peaking out in a friendly manner. lovely Cherry blossom and rock lined flower bed- spring is great to be outside...nice bicycle along waterside rail,the avenue with street lights is wonderful. Townhall sketch is so much fun to see all the heads, shoulders and sillhouettes of people in the act of living.

Ai - ahhh another cafe sketch from the land of a thousand coffee nooks. ;>) Nice one the occupants of those deep-dish chairs mimic the mice . Lovely waffle niches....Next cafe with daughter---nice to get out one on one sometimes...my how fast they grow up!!! Nice how you got those planes of floor and table to look right dimensions...like the background gentle fade and colors .

Fletch - I know we all really enjoy you comments...the way your language colors life is gentle candor and light warming humor. Alas, all Chatrooms need someone like you these days. Thank you very much.

Jo great sketch of couple in folding chairs and "cowboy" . The trees are beautiful spreading in the sky.

Joan - superb sketch of line of folks...wow! all the different feet angles and foot wear and body language- you have worked hard and regularly to attain these lines....and the background is so clear and unconfused!!! Would make a fun puzzle.

Ai - great clipboard sketch!!! Seeing all your format tricks with small books, clipboard, children markers, etc.....fun and inspiring to just let go and sketch with whatever you can grab and go. thanks

I can't believe I did finish this Hunt !!!

I speedy did this set with a ball-point pen on the back of my expired wc paper. You can see the yellow stain from the masking tape.

#21 free space ... my hand
#22 insect ... our napkin ring in a butterfly shape
#23 with numbers ... my brush with a set of barcodes and numbers
#24 with letters ... another wc brush
#25 fluid ... my dirty wc wash mini tub
#26 cloth ... my wc rag... I don't use it often ... more like wiping messy stuffs off from my palette or from my art bag.

Robin: Thanks a lot... It must be that I finished one of my class and with another long weekend here.. So more time for me to do the sketches. One more class to finish in two weeks. ... About many of my format paper grounds, I had done decluttering my art room/work room a few days ago. I still have many more rounds to go... but for the first rounds I tried to tear out some of my old sketchbook pages that was not that great. So I may reuse the back of the torn sketch page. I still have a tons of sketchbooks that I have started but never finish (I know I should complete it one at a time ... but well that might not be for me)... may be I am more like grab and go whatever fit my time. So I hardly can keep sketching on a single same sketchbook continuously. But sometimes, the tear off old page of wc paper might allow me to travel light too. Like I only throw in 2-3 sheets of 6x8 inch page. That seems light load for me to carry for a casual sketch out.

Joan: I forgot to comment on your super fantastic people in lines, esp. the person with the cast on the leg. You did it so vivid, fresh, and very intimate record of such moment. Top notch... and done from inside your mobile studio. So good !!!
