Ai, it was fun to look back at your sketches of Venice. Thanks for your comments. I have a few more days to sketch here before we leave Venice.

Grapes, they told me I could stand but I needed to be away from the big crowd in the square. I am glad you are enjoying seeing my sketches from Venice. We will fly home next Friday.

We also took the traghetti across the canal. Those are the gondolas that go straight across the Grand Canal in a few locations.

Thanks for the info of gondolas/traghettis! I was always wondering how can the gondolas cross Grand Canal because the traffic and waves are so much stronger that in the small canals where gondolas go slow. So they are different and called traghettis, I never heard that name either. All new to me. Now the puzzle is solved! Thanks
