I’m looking forward to seeing the art you produce and am looking forward to the 20th.

Penny

Thanks, Viv and Lesley. I hope you find something you want to paint.

You are welcome, E.P. I was beginning to think people hadn’t seen the new challenge! I’m glad you found it.

Thank you for the wonderful refs! I have been away since March 25 and returned today and just remembered the new challenges when I was eating dinner. After at least six cancelled cruises, we finally got to go this past week and had a mainly excellent, but exhausting trip. It is difficult for me to sleep away from home. The last time we cruised was early March 2020. A few days after we set sail the pandemic was declared and we could not get to any scheduled ports. Plus, we had very rough seas, and norovirus on the ship. (Although we we not ill at all.)

Also please accept belated birthday wishes, as I wanted to PM you on March 29 (my birthday also), but had no internet access. I hope you enjoyed your day. Mine was spent at Coco Cay, Royal Caribbean's private island and it was incredible! A lot better than my 60th two years ago when I was worried about running out of toilet rolls!

Hello, Joy. I wish you (late) happy birthday wishes. Thanks for telling us about your cruise. It sounds as though you had a very good time on your birthday. Lesley took me and Indy out for a drink and cake and we walked Indy through fields nearby. I have a Monday-Thursday break booked at the end of April on the Isle of Wight with Indy, Rita and Wilf. We have a long train journey and a ferry trip to take to get there. I’ve not visited before. We will stay near Shanklin.

My full grown magnolia’s flowers have been killed.by the very cold weather we are having, and the little white one I planted last year is drooping. So sad!
I’m pleased you like the photos And look forward to your art.

Penny, I would love to go to Wight. If you are able, please PM or directly email me photos. What about the coach trip you were to take to Scotland?

Hello, Joy. Yes, I will send you photos. If I haven’t got your email adress, I will ask for it by a private message. For information, the Island is always called by its full name, the Isle of Wight (IOW). We journey by train to Portsmouth and then ferry across the Solent to the Island. It’s Cowes on the IOW that is a yachting centre and where the America’s cup is held, I believe. We will be in another part of the Island, not the hilly, cliff side as I don’t walk well on hills.

You are welcome, joe1lt. I look forward to your taking part in the challenge.

It is the 20th in many parts of the world, and I was waiting for Vivien to post, but thought I would beat her to it for once! :) This is a watercolor on Arches 140 CP, about 7 x 10.Jerry likes it, but he really likes snakes. I wish I could do a more creative interpretation of the photo.

Penny - That is excellent; I knew you would pick the dog! Showing the WIP was a great idea.
