Good Stuff, Patricia! The lemur and the meerkat - if that's what they are  - are irresistible!

Thanks everyone, I'm glad you like them.
I'm looking forward to the 20th ! :)
Cheers,
Patricia

Tomorrow is the day! Can't wait to see what everyone came up with.

Christel, they are both amazing, I can't pick a favorite, the wolf is the first reference I've tried

looking at Cristel's work I realize that among the things I haven't put anything for the ground, to anchor it to the ground.
thanks for the nice references
digital drawings, I think I'll try more by February 28, I've already started another one the day before yesterday, but then I was only at the beginning, and maybe I'd like to color it, so make it longer than a sketch.

if you like them, one of the 4, do you think it came out better?

Christel: as usual, I love your paintings, especially the horses.
Joe: Your drawings are so wonderful! I love the colored one
Queen: Such a soulful look to the eyes - beautiful!

This is ink/wash on Canson XL 140CP, 7 x 10, cheap sketchbook paper, which I am determined to use for experimenting, as I waste nothing. (Humble beginnings, peeps.) Continuing my foray into a limited palette, the colors used are Raw Sienna, Alizarin Crimson, and Cobalt Blue.

Christel, they are both excellent, but I am partial to the wolf. The colored card stock really enhances it, and I think a tighter crop would emphasize it even more.
Joe, the colors in the wolf's fur are blended well and give a very believable effect. Expression and values on the meerkat are perfect.
Deborah, Has a nice impact on the dark paper. The values must have been difficult to decide on that one. Lovely expression and eye highlight.
