Part 2 coming up ...

Well, it's the 15th in Scotland, so in honor of our host Kay I will post mine. This is a watercolor, 7 x 7, on Arches 140 CP. Ideally, there should be more light areas on the ibex for contrast. Only two colors were used - Thalo Blue and Burnt Sienna.

Beautifully done Joy. I wouldn't have guessed your very limited palette. There is lots of color interest here and good value contasts. Your ibex has strong contrast with the sparkle in the eye and even on the horns and that draws the eye. I like your work on the rocks in the foreground as well.

Here's mine. This is about 5"x5", ink and Inktense in XL Mixed Media sketchbook. He was fun to paint.

Wonderful images Kay. Thank you for hosting.

Anne, that is just so precious! You know I am partial to birds and the posture is beautifully captured. Thank ever so much for your kind comments on mine. The rocks turned out better than my past efforts painting them.

Joy, your ibex is amazing and only two colors. Wow.

Anne, your drawings are always so delicate and this is no exception. The little bird sings.
