Very nice Kay. I especially like the first squirrel. I'm not sure which version I prefer, they all look good.
The first one I did this month was one of the puppies. Pen and Ink in XL Mix Media Sketch Pad, about 6" x 7". The drawing ended up being a little shaggier looking than the actual puppy.
The next one I decided to do was a cropped version of the cow. Pen and ink in XL Mix Media Sketch book, about 5"x6"
I decided to see if this guy would improve if I added a watercolor wash. I used a waterbrush for some of the layers which made it difficult to control the intensity at times. I'm not sure which version I prefer.
Kay - Excellent drawings. You've captured the alert expressions of both squirrels.
Thanks very much for the WIPs - it's really interesting to see how other people work.
I like all versions of the first squirrel but I think my favourite is the first one.
Cheers,
Patricia
Anne - Terrific drawings - both are very well drawn. I like the 'shaggy ' look on the doggie
and both versions of the cow especially his ears and 'TopKnot'.
Cheers,
Patricia
Kay M - Excellent pen & ink and watercolor. Great to see your progression pics with the Squirrel. And your different style with your 2nd one.
Anne - Excellent pen & ink of the puppy, and your addition of watercolor in your 2nd image of the cow really gives it intensity. I love your puppy pen & ink!
Joe, always enjoy your work. You were busy! Anne, like both, dlove the dog. I would have to erase and could not do if in ink! Kay, breath and fog very hard to do!
