Set out to paint the University Bridge as seen from Gas Works Park.

This is what's behind me. You can only see a piece of the old Gas Works from here.

that's pretty cool to get all that on to the support and still maintain a blance.

How on earth do you find a subject when there is so much to look at? I would just stand there dumbfounded until it got dark! Impressive work for sure!

Thanks everybody I appreciate your taking the time to look and comment. The location was a lot of fun to paint at. Seaplanes swoop down over the bridge about every 20 minutes flying the length of the lake just feet above the water.

it looks like a big day of painting and it payed off. The painting is beautiful and love that you took this horizontal scene to a 12x18 format which is underrated in my opinion

Thanks Kyle. 14" x 18" is my "standard" Plein air size. Then as in this painting, if the composition warrants it, I'll cut it down to 12"x18" (or whatever). I too like the look of a 12"x18" -- seems to match a lot of landscape scenes,.

It's been a long time since I've painted en plein air. You've got some good results in a short amount of time. ❤️

Well done! Terrific atmospheric perspective and geometric skill there- excellent work!
