stephanie, hi there. Love the armadillo animal. Fun! Matchbox car/truck is a good find. Our kids loved those back in the 60s and the great grands like them now!
Ai, cute notebook and lines on the carabiner. (Wondered what those were called. Ha.) Look at you go. I've never tried Neocolors, I'm not into crayons. You did a super job with them. Fun finds with the tea infuser. Love the purple plate.

Wrote and forgot to post again.
Joan, the perspective on your car/tree painting makes it very inviting lead in and down the street. The sky and dramatic contrast really pops off the page.
Ai, saw the first cormorant and first thought was I liked hoe hatching gave a feather like texture. Next thought was they usually perch with wings out and bam there they are in classic cormorant pose. Are those koi in fish drawing. The wash on the chair is super look.
Pine Cone , NOT indecipherable. Actually a a very good basic sketch and most importantly…had fun!
Marigolddd, Welcome to the Hunt The Hunt is for all skill levels and all mediums. Art from life, ideas to sketch, supporting each other and having fun are the main intents. Looks like you are off to a grid start with the pears.

Stephanie, cute armadillo to bad they are night that cute in RL. Nice job on the truck.
Ai, cute notebook. Like the subtle color changes making it look more realistic. Am with Zjace the reflections really make it look metal. Like the little still life especially after the water added. Blends nice to corner holidays.
Sharon has PT today and I have to go for an ultrasound so doubt I will draw but never say never.

What does "water down" mean, Ai? I like these, cute, compact and nice colours.
Fletch said, “It is hard to explain but it is actually about seeing planes not the lines which create the planes. It looked warped because the lines were not on the same plane.”
This took me a minute, and then, again, the light bulb lit up

I wondered why I was so drawn to walk down that sidewalk….. After studying what you’ve done, I realized what an amazing job you did with the perfectly nuanced slivers of space between the lamp post and tree, and further along, between the last tree, and the closer ones….. and beyond…..

Jade: Thanks. Neocolor2 are "water soluable" crayons. So the first pic. show I use them dry... the second pic. shows... I use water on them to make the paints run smooth and blen together ...as my words of "water down".
Fletch: Thanks for your kind comments. Those fishes are local species...somewhat variety of Tilapia's siblings.
PineCone: Thanks so much. Yes, I will keep the Neocolor2... despite I have not touched it for super long time 11 years ... imagine the protection little sponge inside the box, decaying... But my reason to keep was 1st because it was soo expensive... from Switzerland... So I hope to get around and use them more often from now on. And 2nd there was one more sentimental reason... my girls used to draw with them during my paint out with my art group, I took their picture and posted it on SketchCrawl.com and the publisher had contacted me... then boomed the picture got landed in an Urban Sketching book by Thomas Thorspecken on bottom of page11 .... Let's me try to find the book to show you.... Can you spot me in a nearby picture ? (I was the second lady knee siting on the floor from left).

I sketched in my studio on the wiped off Pastelbord, 9 x 12 inches. Assorted soft pastels, very quick. I may work on it more, pretty dark and fix the lettering on the cup.

Number 8 - art supplies. Sketchbook and pen .. maybe hands, too.

#6 cup (uni-pin fine line chisel 2.0) and Sharpies.
I also drew this cup a few weeks ago for myself and already notice a difference in how I see perspective and also even just with felt tips, how the way you use them can enhance the picture.. i.e. use them to create direction and form rather than just "colouring in" and also leave areas white to create light. Kind of simple, but struck me today!

Ai, thanks for sketches using the Neocolors. I like seeing what other people can do with them, since I'm not happy with mine. lol I like seeing the sketch before and after you added the water. The one of the books, man tea infuser, mug, fork, and fruit came out really nice!! I think what I have a hard time with when using the Neocolors is the waxiness...but that's just me.

Jerry had an eye doctor appointment for his shots and that takes up about 3-3 1/2 hrs of the day. I can't find anything there to sketch except people and it isn't very conducive to doing that.

I like how you always capture the soft look of those creatures. They always make such happy subjects. Ah...hands and a sketchbook too! Glad Gene's doctor's visit went well.

Jade, oooh, I love the blue mug. You will see that I have a collection both at home and virtual, so will add yours to my collection! As a hint the coffee or tea should be rounded like the cup to be more realistic. Beautiful stars and color as it is. Great going!!

I'd be delighted! That's a good point.. I looked at the tea afterwards and realised it wasn't how I'd drawn it. I was also watching Danny Gregory on sketchbook skools earlier and a simple thing that was useful was about the curve of the bottom matching the curve of the opening. Thanks for the encouragement
