Thanks so much
Your encouragement and advice over the years has been inspiring in so many ways
Thank you again

and how rude of people to leave before we’re done stealth-sketching them
I love this group of super fun sketches!!!
and welcome to these events
I’m glad you found us, and look forward to more sketches from you. It sounds like you have a good plan and are enjoying your creativity
I wondered why I was so drawn to walk down that sidewalk….. After studying what you’ve done, I realized what an amazing job you did with the perfectly nuanced slivers of space between the lamp post and tree, and further along, between the last tree, and the closer ones….. and beyond…..
I love your sketch of that rustic chair. You gave it the perfect finish with a delicate water wash
Your Neocolor sketches are all lovely. Wonderful work - Thanks for showing both phases of your still life. It’s an enjoyable composition, and excellent use of water with the Neocolors. Do you think you’ll keep them? Your work with them is fun and artsy
Love the colors, and am looking forward to more. As everyone has said, this is the perfect place for you to be, and I’m glad you found us - plenty of room
I’m looking forward to your watercolors. Please don’t hesitate. Would love to see all your work
Good vibes always to you and yours
he's a lovely cat. I appreciate the warm welcome and feel really pleased to have found you guys.

I like how you always capture the soft look of those creatures. They always make such happy subjects. Ah...hands and a sketchbook too! Glad Gene's doctor's visit went well. Hi Joan, I've been meaning to say how much j enjoy your paintings. Really beautiful and inspiring. How are there so many posts since I was here yesterday???
Ai, thanks for sketches using the Neocolors. I like seeing what other people can do with them, since I'm not happy with mine. lol I like seeing the sketch before and after you added the water. The one of the books, man tea infuser, mug, fork, and fruit came out really nice!! I think what I have a hard time with when using the Neocolors is the waxiness...but that's just me.
I smiled to see your girls sketching with the Neocolors in the photo of that page from Thomas's book. How fun!!
Fletch, thanks. I've added a bit more blue behind the sailboats to make them stand out a little more. I think it is almost finished. lol That's what I always think. Hope you find a little time to sketch. I didn't really sketch anything yesterday, just worked a little on the paintings. Jerry had an eye doctor appointment for his shots and that takes up about 3-3 1/2 hrs of the day. I can't find anything there to sketch except people and it isn't very conducive to doing that.
Jo, what a sweet pastel of the bear, cup, and bowl. Your bear looks like he's related to Fletch's.I like how you always capture the soft look of those creatures. They always make such happy subjects. Ah...hands and a sketchbook too! Glad Gene's doctor's visit went well.
Jade, I like your star-filled mug. You're right about the whites...they are so important.
Sorry, I don't know why or how my text sometimes gets dark or italicized without me doing anything. I apparently must hit a key that changes it.
Off to start another painting for the paint out this morning, so I don't know if I'll get any regular "sketching" done. I can hope...
Enjoy your painting today
Thanks Jo!Jade, oooh, I love the blue mug. You will see that I have a collection both at home and virtual, so will add yours to my collection! As a hint the coffee or tea should be rounded like the cup to be more realistic. Beautiful stars and color as it is. Great going!!
I'd be delighted! That's a good point.. I looked at the tea afterwards and realised it wasn't how I'd drawn it. I was also watching Danny Gregory on sketchbook skools earlier and a simple thing that was useful was about the curve of the bottom matching the curve of the opening. Thanks for the encouragement
