Scavenger Hunt from Life #151: Mar 03 - Mar 11

Ai, I like your casual student sketches. Thanks for you comment.

Ned, I hope you remember to bring the sketchbook so we can see the remote place you're going to.

Joan - Beautiful pencil work on both. Air is simply stunning.

Stephanie - You captured elegant well.

Ai - Somehow I don’t ‘t think the students would consider those poses as casual. 😂

Ned - Hoping you remember your pocket sketchbook so we get a peek at your future fishing hole.

Jo, Robin and all the lurkers 👋🏽👋🏽👋🏽

Keep sketching and learning
Fletch

Wow, thought I had commented on about half of these! Too much fun with our kids.....now old folks. Ha.

Joan, the coffee shop with bicycle is fun. All my family loved seeing that because of remembering Gene's biking. Your people are always great to see. love the warm jackets. Your at home sketches of fruit, brooch and then the canal are all so well done. Wow at the museum. Those are super.

stephanie, your flowers and leaves are so well done. A new mushroom mug for me!! Cheers! The Elegant sketch is perfect. I like the container as well as the feathers.

Fletch, the tomatoes are so stunning. I like the mandarins as well. Fun when you and Joan find NY things.

Ai, look at the students. Such good gestures.

Fletch, thanks. It was nice to have so many beautiful sculptures to sketch.

Jo, thank you. Glad that Gene and the "kids" enjoyed seeing the sketches. It was nice talking to you yesterday. Is everyone gone now?

Thanks Joan, Fletch, Jo.

Fletch: In Thai, crossing your leg by putting one foot up on another leg (the middle one) is considered less polite. So that was my casual intention...lol.

I brought the sketchbook in my car but forgot to put it in my knapsack. But I stopped for lunch too late and got worn out... I don't think I would have tried to sketch if I had it. I visited two lakes and a river I've never been to... it was nice to be outside all day, but a little disappointing how much access was blocked by private property. I found a few places I'll probably go back to next month when trout fishing season starts. I think it's still morning in Thailand and afternoon in New Zealand :) will start on the list now.

Edit: the new list is here. You can still add to this hunt too!

Thanks, stephanie, for this Hunt. I enjoyed all the sketches and reading even if I didn't sketch much. We are all alone. Smiling. Off to eye doctor in the morning in Austin so may not get back here until tomorrow evening.

Ai - I meant they all looked more stressed than casual taking exams . The plate of veggies is super. The colors on the purple onion look spot on! Good job capturing the texture on all the onions.
