Anne and Jo, you both should try gouache. I think you’d like it as it is easier to control.

Moscatel, Pearl is fabulous looking with her white fur and all the subtle shades.

Anne, gouache does take a lot to get used to. I'm still figuring it out. Have had my gouache colors now for a year. I don't practice much with them b/c they are difficult. Thanks for your comment!

Kay, thank you. I wish I could paint your Pearl better but thank you for this opportunity to offer her reference. By the way, she does have very neat pose to paint in this photo.

Jo, thank you for commenting! I got gouache paints about a year ago and I thought they would be easy to paint with but they are actually quite difficult.
