Out of a lack of imagination, I went back to the building where I had painted the balconies a few days earlier, only this time chose to paint a newly constructed building across from it.

I set my bag on the back of the easel - it makes it sooo much more convenient to get your supplies than setting it on the ground and having to stoop over and rummage thru it. Don't know why I didn't think of this before.

Not only was it cold (for September) but also that area turned out to act like a wind tunnel. Fortunately, the French Easel can take it, plus with the bag it didn't budge an inch.

While I was painting a sweet girl came out from the apartments and served me a steamed-milk latte and cinnamon swirl bread! That was so kind of her -- was she a patron of the arts, or did I look that needy? I was just appreciative either way.

I brought along a new Utrecht Natural Chungking Pure Bristle - Flat, Size 6, Long Handle - and this practically painted itself.

Excellent. I love the orange and red dots, the yellow highlights (flowers) too. The brightness of that brings it all to life for me. :)
