last things and other things.

Do you ever draw from life Joe, just looking an an object and drawing it? I'm sure you must have, I'm just curious 😊

Yes,
actually, 4 years ago, about 4 years ago I started drawing again after 20 years in practice,
but initially I almost always did it as a photo monitor.
lately also thanks forum, a little less than 2 years ago I discovered wetcavans (and also a nice book that I bought just before, key) and I started drawing more things from life.
it helped me to understand that I had to do it, maybe I was postponing it.

that is, if you say in general, last 2 years, last year, more often,
the succulent, is from life, even the hand.

if you say people, that is not, always figures, only from the photo,
even the portraits are from the photo, most things are from the photos, and lately I try to do something more from life too, not just take pictures. most are still photos but I try to remind myself not to just do that

Maybenartist, thank you very much.

Snoball, thank you very much, yes, actually this choice or similar
, it seems the wisest thing both to see how it is and to use it freely, without fear of damaging or consuming it
I then took,
the tablet I had thought about the first time they were all without a screen, in the end a little over 2 years ago I took one so it was very similar to this one but m, in fact it worked well and get used to looking directly at the monitor (it was a little strange to go back to paper out of habit), the lack of the screen after the first few days, after the first few weeks I think it's even less complicated than I feared,
I made a mistake with the choice because (I was afraid of scratching it and initially put a film but I put it wrong and there were too many bubbles which made it more uncomfortable) and
I got me one with wi fi because I thought maybe I would also use it as a mouse (I have a small one) or in any case to better manage wireless space, in wi fi it didn't work (it stops after a few seconds) but it depends on my computer , something that interferes because I tried once in a laptop and went even before putting the drives, and then it was strange after 3 months without using the pencil to go back to this, also because I used monitors for references (in the sense that with the pencil I was doing even worse things and with a tablet I had never done a drawing but tried to learn the keys, program and just to make some lines) I was sorry not to use it but then I ended up doing this. (then I had searched on yutobe, read some negative reviews but maybe they were comparisons with different products and then it is also a matter of habit)
the doubt with digital in addition to what I had written, of something new with a monitor so as not to change habit was if instead I try again with the one I had, I am no longer afraid of scratching it and that maybe it is enough for me not to stop with the pencil for months but alternate both so as not to lose habit.
besides the tablet, yes I had not used it anymore but in keeping it I thought maybe that if I learned, I tried the colors, something like that I could use it. with usb initially I had doubts but that's okay, it was fluid, then I no longer had program for drawing so i thought i'd try it just in case, now i have gimp now but i know only one function of it and i hadn't configured it with that.

However I had these doubts about trying, trying again with digital, I wanted to write about what I had, ask for an opinion on this, (maybe ask for an opinion on this type of tablets, after all I think that in reality they are also used to create incredible things from 0 , or even to color, actually I think that the middle is never the problem but rather the handle) I was about to do it long ago, then it seemed ugly to bother about these things too.

in reality with what you said, thinking about it now made me remember this and think that trying not to lose anything and sin is normal.
sorry for this other long message and thank you very much

I used to have a really nice Intuos, a 9"X12", and the pen had about 5 different types of nibs. Lightning took it away from me so now I have a much smaller one. :(

yesterday then I did this. a4, pen.
2-jumble of cables (the power strip and cables of my computer), is on the ground.
that line above was the table, (I put the table line too far below and then put it back),
however drawing was on these cables which are many, on the right they continued but they did not come here.

below, there is floor and on the right a little of the table.

There is no way I could draw my jumble of cords. They are crawling all over the place! Well done Joe.

the first figure with bic that I tried again here. small peach is in pencil,
I've been doing these these days,

as the next drawing, I think I'll try again by hand.
