Jade, I don't know I missed this until I peeked at some new postings today. Sometimes I do not get notifications in my alerts (top right of the page) of threads that I follow. Well, your dog is spectacular - you must have unending patience! If you started a thread in the Wildlife forum, more members could see it. Exceptional job with the eyes and overall effect. This must have taken a very long time.

I love the sharpener I have, from Classroom Friendly Supplies. I research everything I buy, and bought this many years ago. Getting an appliance or electronic "requires" many hours of reading and searching. Luckily, the snowblower we bought this season we have picked out last year. Since many of our appliances are aging, we look up ratings on them and have something picked out in advance of a breakdown.

Thank you so much Joy! The tutorial helped a lot, it was the same lady I did the daschaund with a while ago. I'm not that patient IRL lol but find colour pencil drawing very relaxing (luckily!). Thank you re the wildlife thread, I'll pop it in there.

Ha. We sound similar! I enjoy the research too I hadn't heard of that company. yes, like you we try and buy before we have to sometimes to maximise on saving!

Yes, I am a member of Wet Canvas. It is also a great community, but underwent a lot of ownership changes, so it is not nearly what it used to be. A lot of individual threads are not very active. I do enjoy the challenges, (animal, floral, and all media events with various photos to use). A lot of the posters here are regulars there. I have been a member there for twenty years, so if you need help with it. let me know.

Ah that's useful Joy and good to know you're there too. I came across one called artist forum which looked good but I couldn't see any challenges which is definitely one of my favourite things. I'll join WC and say hi over there.

Yes, it used to have many active members, so there are a lot of inactive threads. So I have bookmarked the challenges, which I will link here later. I wish I had more time to do better replies now to those who have DM'd me, but we have to do food shopping. We have had a lot of snow and bitter cold for weeks.It has not been over -12 C for two weeks. This is a shock to all of us, for sure. I will be continuing on Wet Canvas, as long as it is there. This really has me scrambling to contact people. I hope I can do it, as today I finally have to do a lot of errands.

I like the forums because one can just check in when you want and have different artists and viewpoints. There is no way one could respond to individual emails to many. Although for some frequent posters, they may spend all day online! I have a lot of other interests and sports, also. So I am not a good companion for the groups in my area with retired people that are mainly sitting around watching TV complaining about anything and everything!
