Beautiful photos, and interesting new reference! Thanks for Hosting Patricia.

Thanks Vivien, I'm glad you like them. This month was a joint effort - I provided the
photo's and Kay [Triduana] provided the subject reference.
Cheers,
Patricia

Fantastic photos, thank you!
Things should start to be less busy this month and I hope to join in.

Hello everyone - Glad you like this month's photo's and subject ref'.
Kay - I wasn't familiar with some of the animals either -particularly photo # 16 [ 2 Pampas Rabbits]
and photo # 8 [Red Panda ] - which animals were you not familiar with ?
Cheers,
Patricia

The only animal I didn't know was the Hare with the long legs? Did you say "Pampas Rabbits"? What country are they indigenous too?

Patagonian Steppes in Argentina , I think - but can also be found elsewhere . ie: IF Patagonian Mara are the same animal as Pampas Rabbits !!
Cheers,
Patricia

I'm finished! Most unusual for me to be actually finished in time. It is the 20th September tomorrow in NZ so I'll be posting tomorrow. Anyone else ready to post?

That's great Vivien - looking forward to seeing it !
Cheers,
Patricia

Good morning everyone - it is Wed 20th September here in NZ today so here's my challenge entries.
Ive done 2 this month both in Watercolor & Inktense pencil in my 20cm x 15cm Sketchbook
The first is for the reference "Jumping"

My next is the little bright colored bird

Looking forward to seeing more entries.

Thank you for hosting Patricia. I enjoyed the challenge of thinking of something "jumping" for the new reference.

These are lovely Vivien. The little bird is really well done and the kangaroo BG is almost misty and ethereal.
Cheers,
Patricia

Vivien, I just love the gorget on the bird and the highlight in the eye. Really well done! Good jumping pose, also.

These watercolor elephants were an experiment on Fluid Easy Block, 140CP. They are each 8 x 5, using limited colors as noted next to each. It was based on color suggestions from The Art of the Limited Palette, by Hazel Soan. The supposedly quick studies were rather belabored.

Viv - check out your hopping roo and red bird :)
Joy - stunning work on the 'phant with all the different limited palettes! Cool beans!

I'll post my work now even though I'm in the last time zone (there's a few more hours of the 19th here... but Viv posted so I'll proceed) - ink on 1/8 sheet of watermedia paper.
