Yowie Confrontation

Back in 1992 I wanted to enter this painting into the James Hardie Wildlife Art Exhibition. But before I could do so a person, who claims to have seen a Yowie in the Blue Mountains, bought the painting.

Oil paint on plywood. 1220 x 750 mm.

It has an eerie way of pointing at you no matter where you look at it from.

Yeah, a bit disturbing. Lovely work, but I am not sure I would like it on my wall, unlike the other one you posted, the landscape with the gum trees

Toldja I had a weird imagination.

I would turn around and say "Stop staring at my bald patch!"

Have no idea where, how or if it got displayed.

Yes. It was the only way, I could think of, to imply what it would be like to suddenly be confronted face to face. The Yowie is shocked, and caught out too.
