What are you working on?

Here is what I have been working on.....garden art for next year’s fun draiser. Fairy houses, garden gnomes, bird and suet houses, etc. another kiln load of bisque and then I will starting glazing.

I think we can be too modest. Seeing these I can't wait to see your not-for-fun stuff. I once attempted to fashion a rudimentary bowl from air-drying clay, and ended up with a medieval peasant's pouch.

Can we get before and after photos of your hair?💇‍♀️

Sure...the after photos will be a while though. ;)

Here is a photo from about six months ago and I've already started combing. I still have about thirty more to go and I didn't have time to do any yesterday. I did one thick one on Sunday.

I finally finished combing out all of my hair. I've also been working on finishing a short story, trying to get it ready to submit somewhere before the 30th.

I went through three steel combs! They are all busted up, but I did it. I got obsessed to get it all done. I first cut off fourteen inches before combing, then another several more when I was done, and now my hair is at my shoulders, all one length. I don't like it so much, but it feels fantastic! I'm getting a short haircut on Thursday and I am excited (and nervous) to have short hair again. A big change.

This is the cut I'm considering:

Yes, that cut is cute. Love dreads too, though. I heard they can be heavy and pull as they tangle. I guess it will be a relief, especially in JT climate. I wish I had more hair! Maybe you could send me your dreads 😁 I have bleached my hair during lockdown. I did have it dyed blue, but it turned aqua green. Now it's greeny-yellow 👀

I like greeny-yellow. I kinda love all the colors of the rainbow though.

I'd send you my dreads, but I threw them away one by one as I combed them out. :(

Each one thrown away is a dagger in the vanity of my heart! Good for you for going for it. Through the benign influence of her (great) Music teacher, I was astonished when my daughter cropped her hair (1st Year High) for the Macmillians Cancer Society, and it suited her! Whereas I, so my daughter and her mother love to tell me, look like an "egghead." Unfortunately, they aren't wrong.

Speaking of "blonde" hair (and having insomnia), I was reminded of something a comedian said. I can't remember his name, but he is over six foot and blonde. He said, I was having a great day, I was in a good mood, and then I hailed a cab, and the driver pulled to the curb, wound down the window and shouted, "Where to, Big Bird, Sesame Street?" Something a London cabbie would say. Anyhow. Insomnia.
