Brian, if it helps, Debussy was a great Wagner fan. For a time at least!
But quite sensibly, he soon realized Wagner was an impostor. He went on to conclude that there were only two truly great composers in history, namely Bach and Debussy.
Listened through the last 3 symphonies by Mozart: 39, 40 & 41. Now I’m continuing with Krips:

I might surprise Brian in that I’m currently listening to Brahms… Symphony no. 4. Of course, now I’ll need to play some Wagner as a chaser.
Yes, I am a huge fan of all three. As for Tchaikovsky, I just checked in my music database and I see that it contains only two of his works: the Piano Concerto No. 1 and the Violin Concerto. Definitely not a Tchaikovsky fan!
I never cred much for The Wall, and thus, I never bothered with Pink Floyd. But I rather like this ambient album...
John, glad to hear you like Pink Floyd. I agree that they were wonderful. I'm not surprised that you like the Rite of Spring. Have you seen the ballet live? I've seen a number of very different performances of the full ballet in different parts of the world, including a memorable athletic one in Amsterdam where the dancers were dressed in white gym outfits.
Yeah me and a friend were into them early and bemoaned when they "went commercial" with Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall.
No I haven't seen the ballet, or any ballet for that matter but that one would be high on my list. It must be cool to see the various choreographies of it.
