thanks

I tried something new, on an instagram page there was a contest, free, you don't win anything,
but illustration choices are printed and shown at a comic fair.
the theme was tell me.
you could do anything in the theme,
it is also difficult for me to choose what to draw, have ideas to practice, have ideas or remember them
so lately i've been trying to think of something, i don't know if they are bad ideas or they make sense.
here I tried to think, one was too difficult, the one I did was a drawing I've wanted to do for 10 years, to remember a hero, an extraordinary person who fought against the mafia.
I was undecided whether to send it because they required the phone as well as email, then I put it. but i sent drawing that

I got the wrong image format.
I wanted to ask this
if we don't first set the size we want, a2, in this case, the image is deformed, it changes the proportions of the image, I hadn't thought of that. but you could fix. or if you don't select first, deform image? true

these are the original images, in the next post I put the ones I sent a2, if I really made a2, I changed them with pc to a2, with procreate I drew them but I didn't know how to switch to a2, I couldn't even on the computer, I put them half an hour to figure it out..
anyway i wanted to remember him, i'm doing it now, he's a hero.

may be that you don't like either of the 2 draws but
if you like the draws, do you have a preference, colored or blue?

these are the ones I tried to make a2, I'm sorry to have deformed the image further for this mistake, apart from what I read after this fact of a2, perhaps it must be native, I actually think this thing explains the deformation,
however I was afraid that the idea and the sentence didn't do it justice so I hope that everything doesn't sound grotesque and that it isn't a very bad design and bad idea
. thanks.by

If I understand you correctly I would say you have to have the size pre creating your image or the size of your image has to be able to add to it's measurments to get it to a2 size
a2 is fractions so it would be difficult for figure out the size that would be able to meet the a2 size adding equal to the width and height of your original. example.. straight forward .. 8 x 10 can go 16 x 20 14 x 30 and so on.

Equivalent A2 paper dimensions in pixels at 300 DPI and 72 DPI respectively are: 4961 pixels x 7016 pixels (print resolution)
or 16.54 cm x 23.39 cm ... that is a weird size ..

What was the size of your original?

Joe, most apps have the function to not only resize the whole image, but to resize the canvas itself. That way you can make the background (the canvas) of the drawing A2, but keep the original drawing in the centre, and in the correct undistorted format. Then you can colour in the extra bits of background.

This video explains how one does it in Photoshop, but I'm sure your program has the same functionality. Watch from 2:53 to see what I mean.

thanks for the reply, and the clarifications, when I started making this drawing I chose one of the two standard formats that procreate has, it has some standards and I almost always choose the same ones, I choose one that fills the whole ipad if I draw from life or reference is out of ipad or one that gives me a smaller page, a4 format, paper, I have to check the names, if I use reference on the forum.

here they required a2 , 72 dpi for the submissions of the drawings they had to view.
for the chosen designs they want a2 300 DPI
