What’s Working for You in Selling Art or Apparel Online in 2025?

Hi everyone 👋

I’ve been running a small independent art-fashion brand (PodLyft) for a few months now, focusing on bold, statement-style apparel like graphic hoodies and printed sweatshirts. It’s been an intense, humbling journey, and while I’ve put a lot into the website, content, and SEO, I’m still trying to figure out what moves the needle in terms of actual sales and visibility.

I’d love to hear from others here:

🔹 What online channels or strategies have worked for you in terms of selling your artwork or products?
🔹 If you sell physical goods (prints, apparel, etc.), how do you handle traffic-building outside social media?
🔹 Have any of you used marketplaces, online galleries, or niche forums that resulted in real sales?
🔹 What’s your approach to pricing and presenting your work online?

I’m currently relying on organic SEO and content marketing, but I know many of you have real-world experience that could shine light on areas I haven’t explored yet.

Would love to hear what’s worked for you (or even what hasn’t!). Thanks in advance 🙏

Not sure if this counts as spam/advertising since you are featuring your site that sells products, and not specifically art. Please read the rules on the "About" page regarding using this site as a means of self-promotion.

I will leave it up for now since you are posing a business question.

My website and Instagram.

I sell original art, not "goods."

I have never sold anything in a forum, but I've used sites like Saatchi, etc., which have never resulted in sales.

Pricing art, for me, is based on my experience, what the market I'm in will bear, and past sales. I have been presenting my work on my website since 1996. I'm always tweaking my SEO and the wordage of my site. I also use my blog for traffic, as well as Substack (lately). Instagram too.
