Still Like The Earth Palette ..

11 x 14 inches .. oil on paper .. alla prima .. painted Jan 17/24
Still stuck on low key hues .. French Ultramarine, Raw Sienna, Yellow Ochre, Titanium White, Perm Alzin
With this you don't need a black because it produces a black that is neutral .. don't know how but I got a black that is neutral to my eyes but I did by scraping back my palette at the end of a painting and then mixing in all the hues togeather with the mess I scraped up. I guess that is why they say don't use too many mixtures when creating a color as you won't know how you got there in future.
