Scavenger Hunt from Life #137: Nov 11 - Nov 19

#2 pumpkin (also substitute for pineapple) - the pineapple is still in the fridge waiting to be painted, this
pumpkin is part of a larger setup. Oils on canvas.

Will comment tomorrow, today has been exhausting day ...

Ai, at one time I read all the Stephen King books, but then they started being too strange. Love the still life with the fun bobble-head Elvis. Interesting teapot decorations.

Jo, Ai found a good one for honky-tonk.

Grapes, nice painting with the pumpkin and the flowers. Hope the pineapple makes an appearance.

Ned, will go and grab the new hunt.

This is the final sketch in another sketchbook.
13 - luxury (a nice big porch with seating) - watercolors and ink

Jo, lovely "pottery kitten" and good idea to sketch the mechanical pencil 👏. Lovely to sit on the porch and sketch!

Fletch, thank you for your kind comment on my self portrait. I find I managed some resemblance to my real face. Must paing more of them.

Ned, very nice subject matter to paint 🎨! Thank you for your comment on my self portrait.

Ai, an other wonderful exotic item: banana tree blossom 🌸 so nice! Excellent work done on all the paintings and sketches. I enjoy seeing them especially your self portrait! Good job! 👏

Grapes: Glorious pumpkin piece

Joan: Wowza on the lux estate home... just glow with fall colors too. Congrats in finishing a sketchbook.

Robin: Love your ink set, nice selfies... they are quite challenging, aren't they. Nice details on the bill... good volume in the stick tied collection.

Jo: Great job with Gene's wheelchair. Glad he makes great recovery.

Ned: Such a wonderful sub. for a racket sport.

Jo - happy cards....such pleasure/treasure!! I like the dark surround on the cat orcarina!! nice pen - it "clicks"

Joan love the many steps sketch -- unusual feeling to have eyes move up that way...gives fun feeling.
lots of free air in the free space sketch - fresh! thanks The bubble gum sunbather reminds me of how goofy I feel when I sit in the sun too long. Your sketch is well supported by the detailed background - nice.

Ai - Yay!! you got to sketching!! loose bannana tree sketch good opening! Ooooh I love the direct Chinese ink - I will try that on the next hunt...would be nice change from switching colors. Love the keep-it-simple black lines on blue background. Nice book cover. I read on stephen King about 12 yrs ago about an artist whose ameture paintings started coming true!!!! my son-in-law suggested it...it was a nice change .

Grapes - wow- swwweet painting. Contrast of fall squash with blossom is intreguing element!

Fletch - making christmas cards is fun !!! enjoy yourself!

NedL I went thru all the exercises in Drawing on the Right side of the Brain - Now I can't remember which side is dominate/nondominate BUT I will never forget the sensation of "timing" one side out and then learning to work them together! It's a great book!! Your loose color adds alot - that sky is so cool! ooops, it's background trees....anyway...it's nice.

let's keep sketching!!!

Ai, I like the airplane that honors Tone's father's service in the Air Force. Nice mosquito racket. Thanks for your comment.

Robin, I hope you never got as pink as that sunbather sculpture. lol

Ai -- I don't have one of those bug zapper rackets here or that's what I would have done too! :) Good job.

Grapes, love the pumpkin/pineapple and the promise of more in the painting! Well done.

Ned, will check the new Hunt!

Joan, Mmm, your luxury orch with the wicker is beautiful and the fall colors. !!!

Ai, awww, sweet about the airplane. My zapper would be my item for racket as well. Well done on both. Hey, there is a new “z” word!

I sketched on my footstool and watched a Halmark movie. So bad….. This is the bottom of the page in the big sketchbook with a Pilot ballpoint pen.
Number 5 quilt - sub blanket on the couch and Number 6 gum - sub a Tootsie Roll Pop. I hadn’t seen any of those in ages and bought a few at the convenience store, this is the last one and is cherry.
