Scavenger Hunt #139: Nov 27 - Dec 5

Vivien, thanks so much. I left the white of the paper for part of the white tree, but the narrower branches I did with a white Signo pen. I hope you have a summer with great weather.

Ai, thanks. It was a good birthday...shopping, sketching, visiting a friend, and dinner out.

Ai, thanks for that delicious BD cupcake! All your food and plating looks so good!

Joan - Amazing, busy, wonderful, landscape! What a lot of information youve got into it. The more I look at it, the more I see! And I love the little dog in his coat!

Ai - Wonderful composition with your 2 plates and food! All the food looks yummy!

Grapes, thank you.

Vivien, thanks. The busy landscape kept growing and growing. lol
I went to a coffee shop with my friend, Suzala and her daughter, Becca. They continue to wear masks when in a small, public area
because Suzala has a compromised immune system.

Ned, Viv, Grapes: Thank you.

Joan: Thanks. Cute dog and charming roadside veggie farm stand. Also, great people and shop cafe details in Flux coffee. I love that you sketched their sketchbooks. You have a great depth there in the scene from front counter to away far things behind the barista. ... BTW, people in Thailand still wear masks too, esp. when we are in a small confined air-conditioned space like in a taxi cab, or bus, or subway train. However, in classrooms and bigger but not-crowd space situation, most people do not wear masks. But now Bangkok people may want to go back to wear mask more as there are small particles, called PM.2.5 in the air due to micro particle pollution.

Thanks, Ai. When we were in Italy there were very few people wearing masks anywhere. We were the only people who were masked on our flights there and back. I don't wear one very often, but I do when I am in the car or train with Suzala.

Joan, thanks for the list. I almost sketched today. Ha. Happy Belated Birthday!!

Vivien, aww, love the ducky and the leaf is beautiful. Always welcome! Olivani sounds good. Do you put it on the muffin? Mmmmm. Thanks for the mug ... always.

Ai, thanks for the Thanksgiving wishes. Back to you. Look at you go. I love your sketch with the food and chocolate. Clever on the rectangle. Never saw banana shaped banana bread. Ha.

Joan, love the photo of your dad. Wow, big turkey! The seahorse in the bushes is good and a fun find. Clever house for rectangle. I'm smiling. Your continuous line grouping is amazing. Both in Black and White and in color. I love olives and hardly ever get any and Gene doesn't like them and they hang around too long or I eat too many. Clever items. The tree challenge is so good. Fun house. The person sketch with all the goodies is so interesting. Wow! Cute doggie. Nice of your sketching friends.

Ned, love your rocks sketch and the photos are amazing. Beautiful ... both!!!

Jo: Thanks.

Viv: Thanks... Wow... that is a super treat combo. I love it.... yummy !!!

Vivien, nice ellipses on your mug. It looks very festive. I like the look of the muffin too...yummy. What kind is it?

Jo, thanks for all your comments. Do you still have company, or have they departed? It is hard to sketch when other people are around.

One more done today.

We are leaving in the morning for a trip down to Georgia. The "Celebration of Life" for my brother is on Friday. A lot of family will be there...not quite the best way to get together. We are driving, so my next sketches will be either from restaurants or the hotels we are staying in. Planning 2 nights going down, 3 nights down there, and then 2 nights coming back. Will check in from the hotel tomorrow...and maybe have a sketch to post.

Vivien, excellent!
Interesting the "olivani" name, we have similar "oivariini" it's called and comes in a similar container.

Joan, I like the house and the trees .. beautiful!

Hi ya’ll…
Good work, wat better than mine skill wise but i am sure we each enjoy the act….

Thanks for the list Joan….hope to squeeze in some sketching today
😃

Thanks, Grapes!

Robin, thanks for stopping in. I hope you get a few sketches done for the hunt.

We got to our first stop around 4:00 this afternoon, and I had time to go to the indoor pool for about an hour before we went out for dinner. We had good weather for traveling, but I haven't really sketched anything but a girl at the restaurant. I found a few things here in the hotel room to sketch.
We reserved a room with a roll-in-shower for Jerry.

Ned, thanks.

Robin, thank you. I like your tub stopper and the corner of the room...but that eating tool looks like such fun!!!

Hi there Ai.

Joan, hope the trip stays smooth for your travels. The free space house is so cool with the green on the trees. We saw telephone poles and some with split tops wrapped in New Mexico with artificial green, made them look sort of like cacti. Hard for the family but nice you can get together. Love the sketches. Gene wouldn't use his seat today, he didn't fall. Yay! In a tube is clever, I thought of paint but didn't sketch. The night light was a good find.

Hi Ned.

Robin, yep a cool fork. Fun kitchen view and stopper. Yay for sketching.

Gene had a chip put in his chest today for a heart monitor. Took the doc about 5 minutes but we had to leave at 1130 this morning and got back about 630 this evening. They can't use a regular heart monitor because of his batteries for the Deep Brain Stimulation surgery. Which by the way was 6 years ago and still keeping him from shaking from the Parkinson's. Amazing. He is now a bionic man for sure. The battery in the heart monitor is supposed to last 2 to 4 years so they can monitor when necessary I guess. One stitch and the cover/bandage will come off in about a week and all over. Hmmm.
Anyway my excuse for no sketching. It is quiet here with the family gone, but trying to catch up on stuff.

Happy to see you all doing so well......
