I have tried a few faces some time back but not enough to learn the curve. I see some of the things you capture and I think I will have to make time to do one a day so I can learn. It would be interesting to see if I can actually learn how to fo it. I enjoy your efforts and can see progress over time. Good on you for staying with it. Now I must go find my pencils.
wayne, thanks for the nice words, yes, with a little constant practice you can do extraordinary things even with pencil and portraits, as you do with canvas, and your use of colors and eye is already on value, which is very important I find shading challenging even in theory.
