This started off innocently enough as an abstract and then drips of black paint covered a yellow shape and once I saw these guys I couldn't unsee them. I know this is weird but it's also kind of freeing to go with the flow. I did try to keep some sense of abstraction. Acrylic on paper 10x10

the red flower that sort of breaks thru the mist gives depth and a point of focus and for me makes the painting.

I’ve never done encaustic, Bart, but it seems very interesting! Thanks.

Grapes, I use thin glazes that I can either wipe back for soft effects or build on. Dissolving dried paint with rubbing alcohol also helps with certain effects. Thank you.
