Do you love Creative Spark?

For what it’s worth, in the several hundred tests I’ve done of AI by doing simple searches where I knew the answers, AI got only one right as I recall.
Here’s a sad example of an incorrect, and ridiculous AI answer…..
My question was, “Has T CrB gone nova yet?
Background: T CrB is a star that is known to be a recurring nova. Approximately every 80 years, it goes nova, which brightens it for a bit, before it goes quiet again.
There has been excitement as we await the next eruption, but according to credible sources, including AAVSO, it has not yet gone nova again, although it is due any time now.
Answer given by AI correctly states that it has NOT gone nova yet, as of today, Feb. 14, 2026, but then goes on to say that it IS EXPECTED TO (present tense) between March and October LAST YEAR (2025).

Exactly right. I mean I’m old enough now in my 50s that I can easily detect some things that are wrong. But the young people who haven’t had enough years under their belt yet would not know the difference. I’m only catching it because it’s obvious to me from my life experience.
I have only been dropping by now and then; I didn't know about the surgery.Hi all. I've been meaning to write something for a while now but I'm still not fully myself since the surgery. I'm sorry for that and for disappointing everyone. I wish I could say that it was a matter of reconsidering, but it's not. It's a matter of someone else taking over the forum. That's really all we can offer before March 5th or 6th. So far there's only been one person that's interested in trying to learn the software but I don't think Hannah has heard anything from them in a little while. We will keep you updated if anything changes or what the status is as soon as we know. In the meantime, please know that I am honored to have helped to create such a wonderful community, but all of you are more responsible for that than I'll ever be. Thank you so much for all your warm wishes and love.

I would just like to suggest that 2 or more people might like to be partners
to continue Creative Spark. I am more than willing to partner with others.
That would mean that one person is not responsible for everything.

I was wondering about things along similar lines to Patricia.
But I was thinking if Hannah and Ayin had more help, or might consider training up a couple of people gradually, things could go on as Hannah and Ayin gradually spent less and less time with the site, until all was stable with the new people taking care of everything.
Or something.

P.S. I wish I could do this, but when I became homeless (through no fault of my own), by definition, I became “unreliable” in the sense that I’m unable to make or keep a stable schedule, or know what tomorrow will bring.

The only other cost is the domain name, creativespark.art, which I believe is around $10 a year. That cost will depend on which domain registrar you use.
So you can see, the cost isn't terribly high (cost isn't the reason for our departure, so no need to offer funding suggestions). But unless you already know how to manage Xenforo forum software, your main cost will be time spent learning how this beast works.
Anyway, let me know if it sounds like something you'd like to do, and we can talk about transfer. If there's no interest in a takeover, I'm afraid we'll have to shut it down in the near future.

I don't know, maybe daily management or especially when something doesn't work, knowing how to use this platform well I think is an important requirement especially to avoid problems with the site, keep the site always online.
Maybe even a small change to a part of the forum, adding or removing a section. If the owner doesn't know how to use the platform, it would be impossible to deal with every emergency, keep the site afloat. I don't know, these are hypotheses. One thing I'm wondering is how many minutes a day would generally be required, but it probably varies—sometimes little or none, other times it will require presence. I was looking for a tutorial in my language, but I can't find one. Perhaps there's a translation of the program, while in the classroom there are videos on YouTube—a lot of guides, I think. But I still haven't found a way to read what I write to get an idea of how it works. I was looking for a tutorial in my language. sorry, in the first message I accidentally didn't attach this part, The forum currently runs on managed hosting (provided by the company that builds the forum, Xenforo), which costs $60 a month, her cost is the domain name, creativespark.art, which I believe is around $10 a year. Annual fees are $60 x12 +$10 for domain.
That is, I think that if the forum has always worked well over the years and Hannah and Ayin know how to manage Xenforo and dedicate their time to managing it, learning from 0 Xenforo might be a problem. I don't know if it's possible for 3 or 4 people to be guided in learning, and how long it would take to acquire the basics of managing Xenforo. Perhaps there's a way to teach a small group, like a group chat, so as not to require multiple separate lessons or links, tutorials to orient oneself while one person learns directly. Joe, Creative spark has 'supporting members' [myself included] who have agreed to pay a yearly
fee to help support the forum. "Supporting Member' used to be included in the persons
name image but it was removed when they announced the possible closure of the forum.
If the forum continues, I think the same supporting members would probably continue to support financially.
I know I would.

Hi everyone.
Joe definitely has some insight into managing the forum. However, I should mention that we have someone willing to do this, but they have not yet confirmed their commitment. If they can do that before March 5th, then the forum will go on. I believe they have been learning the XenForo software for the past few weeks. I think they also have a partner in mind to help. I probably shouldn't even mention this until it's totally confirmed, but the conversation here has led me to try to stop people from making so many different scenarios in their heads.
We removed the supporting members' donations before deciding to let the forum go. It would not be fair to take any more funds from people since we are giving up the forum. We are very appreciative of the members who donated funds throughout the life of Creative Spark. It helped with the fees and even the time we've spent managing things. That's something the new owners could implement if they so desire.
In any case, all that is up to the new owners. Joe is correct when he said that, despite more than one person being able to run things, ONE of those people must be the official owner, be responsible for it, have full admin access, and pay the bills. If you have more than one or two people with full admin access, it's like too many cooks in the kitchen, and something can very easily break.
So, for the time being, we are just waiting to see whether this person will have everything transferred to them, or if it will be the end of Creative Spark come March 6th. That is less than 2 weeks, so unless a new person can learn everything in that timeframe, I'm sorry to say the forum can't go on.
And again, we are not looking for someone who can help with time or financially to take some of the burden off us. That's not what's happening. We are letting it go either way. There are many reasons why we are folding up shop (predominantly personal ones), but I just wanted to make that clear.

This forum has been a saving grace for me, a beautiful and wonderful and loving retreat from the difficulties of life on Planet Earth.
I wish it could continue to be that for you, but as the founders and owners, the Creative Spark experience is probably different for you two than it is for everyone else.
And that saddens me.
I hope that as you go forward, you will both heal in every possible way, physically, emotionally, and creatively…… and I hope you can both continue with artistic endeavors as well
