Do you love Creative Spark?

But so far, it doesn't look like anyone is prepared to take over, so you may want to exchange information now. ✍️

The earliest we'll close is March 6th if no one wants to take over. But it's not a done deal yet; someone could still take over, so we'll see. :)

Many thanks for setting up and running creative spark. Sadly, I'm not in a position manage a forum these days. Best wishes to you both. Jennie

Dear friends, I know many of you from old as members of the original wetcanvas forum. Though the forum lost many members in the move to Golden Peak and WordPress, it remains as a valuable resource with over 25years of posts.
I would be delighted to see you there again, I have been doing my best to keep it going.
Doug

I was wondering that Hannah, thank you. I'll definitely stay if so. It's a special place you and Ayin have created here. Hope your both well. I know it will be sad for you too. ❤️

Thank you Doug.

How wonderful and kind of you, Yorky. So nice to see you dropping by - why, we haven't seen you here in 4 years!

Nothing will happen here for at least another month, and in the interim folks can carry on here while all options are being explored. :)

Invitations to return to Wet Blanket aside, there is interest in this forum continuing. I hope it comes to pass and everyone can continue to enjoy participating in an independently owned and operated forum.

If any of you were around in the early days of the internet, you remember that it was about freedom of information, discovery, and a bit of chaos. It turned into a business, but that's what rich people will do: take your creations and sell them back to you.

Creative Spark isn't for sale. Ayin is giving it to someone. No strings, no cash, no stock options or cryptocurrency futures. Ya dig? Cool.

Yes, fingers crossed 🤞 🤞 🤞 it seems to me that this is the general feeling. I have been lucky enough to land here as my first art forum. Ayin was also one of the first welcoming people I encountered and her continued generosity and community minded spirit doesn't surprise me. 🙏 Though it is indeed a rare thing to encounter. Thank you both. ❤️
Ps i am glad there's options for most of us if it doesn't work out but have everything crossed. 🤞

I just clicked on this thread again and saw the many posts. Threads which I have been following are not showing in my notification center.

We all hope this fabulous forum can continue. Regardless, we are fortunate to have both CS and Wet Canvas, as both are great places.

Yeah, I think Hannah suffered an AutoCorrect/Dictate insertion with the “wet blanket” . Lol This happens to me all the time. I watch the words go in perfectly when I text and then I hit send and parts have been changed. Words. Or inserting partial sentences. Sometimes I see it trying to make up its mind. It puts in what I want, then tries to correct that thinking it knows better. Back-and-forth and back again. I have been left red faced with what auto dictate decides to do.
Yes, we are very fortunate to have some options. I’m really happy that everyone wants to keep together. Not just for the art part but because there is a community here. Friendships.I like a place where there can be conversations. And people can show or talk about how they do things with their art.
