This is a view of the clock tower next to the Synagogue at Mattanchery, Kochi (Cochin). It was built in 1568 on land given to the community by Raja Rama Varma of Kochi. The palace and synagogue are next to each other.

This synagogue is also known as the Paradesi Synagogue, since paradesi means foreigner in several Indian languages. I sketched this with pen and ink based on a photo that I took in 2009.

Beautiful and impressive work, especially with all the lines and angles of the architecture!

Outstanding perspective - not a line out of place. You are indeed very talent and have excellent powers of observation.

Thank you Joy. This though, was sketched referring to a photo that I had taken, which makes it so much easier to get perspective and proportions right.
