Welcome to the monthly ANIMAL & WILDLIFE CHALLENGE for July, 2023

AS usual here are the rules for those of you which like to be limited for them. If you find yourself in the need of breaking the rules paint Felines this month .
else:
- choose and use only from the references provided
- create an artwork in any medium.
- post your artwork from the 20th until the end of the month.
- AND , if you wish, any WIP [works in progress] photo’s that you might have
taken while you were doing your artwork.
- Have fun
The don'ts:
- don’t post your artwork before the 20th day of the month [this is the ‘reveal’ day]
- don't tell us which photo you chose before the 20th !!

All reference photos are taken by me, feel free to use them for your artwork.

Great work Christel, yes the trees aren image in genral is very well done ..

Here is mine, Bristol Paper A4 size, Createx Arcrylics and Ink

Colors are quite deep in person, scanning does not favor the colors.

Eye, very lovely drawings.. yes the baboon looks great.. but my fav is the rhino's ass ... lol was the best picture I could take of the rhino... after that I tripped into an unmarked chain, felt down hard and my nikkon camera lens broke. Affortunately for the lions I did not fall inside the lion's pit, yet was an expensive trip ... got a nasty scratch wound from the chain in my chin.

Federico - Lovely, I really like the way you used the ink in the feathers. Sorry to hear about your accident, hope you are on the mend!
