Adjust, or not?

This morning, I got a painting--a 9x12" oil study--out of my studio to take to my room so I could see about making what would be a few major changes. The picture is, in my mind, okay. It feels unfinished, and feels out of scale. My DD and SIL saw it and agreed about how lovely it is...Now, what would you do--carry on with initial intent of making adjustments which may not help, or leave it as is?

I would just consider it done. If I try to make everything better I'd never finish anything,

There's no hard rule to this. I altered a supposedly finished paint recently and it's now much better.

I would give you some words if I knew what DD and SIL was. :ROFLMAO:

But it sounds like you should leave it.

Thanks for your thoughts. I've decided to leave it as is for my Dear Daughter and Son In Law, and probably do another version. I think it will be landscape orientation with a different scale and perspective.
