Scavenger Hunt from Life #158 - April 28 - May 6

Oooo, how soon I get behind.

Ai, fun to see Mill Lily in your sketch and some food all lit up. Makes me smile.

Joan, ha, love the bike. Isn't that what happens when sketching live folks. The uphill sketch is so good, you can see the rise of land. Mmmmm, good. The meeting is well done. I like you captured the flag by the speaker.

Robin, the "top" is very interesting. I have a couple of jars like that. Clever find. The bottom is well done, too. I like Irish Cream and whipped cream in coffee .. rich treat! Your page with the letters, numbers is great. I like your thoughts.

Fletch, I like the thermos and that you shared your ideas about sketching from life. It's always been the best thing for me. Great shading and colors.

Hey, Ned. Welcome home. Can't believe it is May already. We only have 2 more weekends of regular baseball.

We went to the Songwriter Serenade yesterday in Schulenberg, Texas. It was a contest. There were 15 entries from all over the country. The winner was Brittany Ann Tranbaugh from Philadelphia, PA. It was a nice day and fun to see a few friends and listen to new music. I sketched a little in the small travel sketchbooks.
Number 1 outdoors with watercolors and Micron 03
Number 2 blue - shirt and jeans of a couple of patrons
Number 3 face - well sort of a couple of patrons and a singer

Robin, some fun sketches and one scary, pointy object!

Ned, I did most of the sketch while we were waiting before the town hall started. I left a spot for him to stand. (Didn't know if he'd use the mic or the podium.) Sketched him quickly and then finished at home. Welcome home!

Fletch, thanks so much. Glad you are still popping in.

Jo, thanks. Glad you had the opportunity to sketch outdoors. Love the couple in their chairs. Nothing like fun poses of people.

The weather today called for showers/rain at times but I wanted to sketch anyway. I sat in my car outside the fence of a garden center. I was focused on the people in line, not the flowers. lol
15 - faces - watercolor and ink
16 - tops of the buildings

By the time I was finished the rain had started and this was my view.

Joan, thank you. It was good to be out. Look at you sketching in the rain. (We would love to share some water!) I love the folks in line. You even got a sore or broken foot. Nice footwear and faces. Such good finds and you take advantage of cars and all. You are good to finish, too, later or at home. I'm always impressed.

Jo -- time sure flies! I like those figures at the bottom especially.

Joan -- that line of people is great... the postures look so natural it's like we're there. :) seems like I left NY just in time to miss the rain.
