Joan & Ned : Such an awesome start of this Hunt. Have a good time at the beach and have a great trip for Ned.

Robin: Thanks for the list.

#1 Up -- view out of Tone's office on 6th floor...overlooking the disappearing green space of Bangkok west- side..the far distance is Bangkok city rim....directwatercolor...yes.. Tone is lucky as his building grows bougainvillea on the balcony.

Joan, great start. I really like the water. The beach is good, too, nice movement in both the water and grasses.

Ned, uh oh. You did a super job on the perspective of the plane. Applause. Have fun on the trip and safe travels.

Ai, pretty view and bougainvillea. You captured the "feel" so well. I like the different greens and the far buildings.

Ned, I like the head on view of the plane. Nice!!! I find that for safety's sake it is safer to wrap any pens or brushes that contain ink in a paper towel and keep them in a zip-lock bag. I find that fountain pens are really prone to leaking. Thanks for your comment.

Ai, thanks. Nice view from Tone's office balcony. I like how you handled the cityscape.

Jo, thanks. It was windier than I expected so as soon as I was finished with the sketch I moved to a place that was sheltered from the wind.

Ned, thanks so much.

Joan, fortunately the water brushes were in a little ziploc but the ink still managed to spill out into the rest of my kit a little bit... it would have been a disaster without the ziplock bag. I think if they had also been in a paper towel there wouldn't have been any mess at all. I'll definitely do that on the way home!

2. Looking down the Hudson River at the Kingston Rhinecliff Bridge from a place called Poets Walk.

Joan - beautiful seascape

Ned - Sorry to hear of leak accident but still produced a neat airport drawing. Sounds like one of our urban travelers has great tips. Poets Walk painting will make a nice trip memory.

Ai - Love you painting direct. Never would have thought of bougainvillea as window box plant I have a few in my yard and in Hawaii they grew them on highways as boundary keepers. My guess is they get pot bound in window box as they are huge wandering bushes. We thought the hurricanes last year had killed 2 of them but lawn guy said just leave them . You can see one of the two that are regrowing. The larger one that survived the hurricanes and is flowering well that is a single plant. Hard to picture in a window box
