Mona Lisa

In my series of Old Master copies, this painting by Da Vinci.
I didn't paint it completely the same. I gave her a younger face, added the columns (that s why the painting is larger), and the colors are a little fresher than Da Vinci's original.

Beautiful work, and beautifully done. I'm as curious as CaliAnn in wondering how long this painting took. I like your additions!

Beautifully done.
Cheers,

Thank you all for the comments.

I painted it for 3 months. 5 days a week, each time for a few hours. Everything consists mainly of glazes. The greatest difficulty was in matching all the colors and tonalities. The original MonaLisa is totally yellowed, darkened and colors are faded or discolored. Parts are worn or missing etc.

The Mona Lisa is definitely not the best-preserved painting in the world.
I had to make a lot of descisions during painting.

Fabulous work. I'd rather get to know your Mona than Leo's. ❤️❤️

Incredibly beautiful and so nice that you gave her your own special touches. The hands alone are so masterfully done!

Moving from artist to master is a big move: it will be interesting to see where you land. Congratulations.

I have seen several other attempts at copying the Mona Lisa, but nothing I have seen before even begins to compare with the work you have done here!
