Manavalan & Fans

My friend Manavalan sketches beautifully, and wherever he goes, he attracts a small crowd of admirers. In 2018 we had gone in large group to a park to sketch. Over the three hours or so that we spent there I made two sketches. And then, just as I was about to leave, I saw Manavalan seated on a park bench behind me with his fan club of the day around him. I knew that he too was about to wind up and therefore within the next five to ten minutes I made this quick sketch in pen and ink wash. It is approximately 7" x 4.5".
