I recently donated to this to a hospital collection. It's oil, paper patterns, graphite, and thread on canvas at 38 x 29 inches.

Well this is badass. I just love the textures and the weight of the deep blue on the bottom grounding the figure on the top.

The dunce cap and the subtle clown collar are nice touches. An amazing piece, really.

WOW! Thank you Terri. Very nice of you to say. The hospital council almost didn't take this one because one of the members didn't "get" the collar and thought it had three "boobs." I said it was fine if they didn't want to take it, but some other members loved it and just wanted me to make a statement about it, so I sent them a little something, and they took it. So maybe some patients in the hospital will interpret it funny. I guess it is what it is. Ha ha ha.

It was a self portrait of sorts. I have always seen myself as a clown/dunce. And maybe subconsciously, I felt like I once had three boobs????
