I will add to this thread for the month of December. I will keep the writing to a minimum unless someone has a question.
All paintings will be 11 x 14 inches .. oil on paper .. alla prima ..

Thanks Bart. I feel less restricted with flowers so it’s a good subject for my approach to art.

Thank you Donna. I do like the start and hopefully it will spark the imagination and I will get expressively eye catching. People paint for all kinds of reasons but I find I’m happy when I get eye candy.

That’s a great goal, Wayne. You obviously can say “flowers” so well but to be able to say “ joyful flowers” or “quiet, thoughtful flowers” is another thing (which I think you are already quite skilled at doing.). I imagine you will enjoy seeing how different colors create different emotions.

I would think it’s all in the surroundings as a rose at a funeral is a rose at a wedding.
