Perhaps it also shows how tastes change over time - I wonder how many people at the time would have posted these in a thread about bad taste.

Not that bad, but I actually own this one. My mother bought it back in the early 1970's because it was on special, and it had the latest hits. However, they're only sound alike covers of the original artists.

this one reminds me of something I'm a bit embarrassed to admit - but years back I got this great idea - I'll make album size paintings of fake singers/bands - yeh that's the ticket! So I made a couple, then decided - maybe I should google fake/bad album covers and see what's out there. Ouch. I'll go back to my cave now.
