I was thinking I could start posting some of the art I've been putting up on Instagram since I have it all ready to go in a folder anyway. I usually post something every day there, but don't worry, I won't post that much here. They are random in time and most of them are not yet sold.
This one is older. I mean much older, from my Garment Pattern Painting series from 2003 onward to about 2007. I did this one in 2004. It was done in oil and pencil with shredded manila paper and sewing pins, so it's pretty 3D--comes off the canvas about two inches more than the cradle, which is already an inch and 3/4. The painting is 12 x 12 inches.
I did this one while I was in residency at the Vermont Studio Center.
