I've been watching an oil painting impressionist artist on YouTiube named, Rpbert Mee, and I've enjoyed his tutorials very much, to the extent that I've tried some of his techniques. This is a 9" x 12" oil on canvas panel that I've done in a more impressionistic manner. In

In the past my "brutally realistic" paintings have earned me many major awards, but in my later years, I've decided to actually have some fun with my oil paintings, and I've been interested in the methods emloyed by Robert Mee, in his tutorials. This is one of my attempts in oil painting, using his style, as close as I can come to it.

Such a stunning painting! ❤️ I feel like j can hear the water and the trees rustling.

It does look like you enjoyed painting this with all the lively strokes of paint in the water and trees! It’s a real beauty! I’ll check out those videos too.

Donna T,

Please do check those videos, and then let me know what you think about them. I would like to hear your opinions of this painter!

Hi William - I had a look at a video by Robert Mee and I can see why you like him and his way of painting. He did an amazing job with a very limited palette and even though he started with kind of a tight drawing the painting didn’t end up tight at all. Thanks for mentioning him!

This is beautiful, Bill. I really like the lighting and looks like you'll have no problem with the style. ❤️ ❤️
