Zinnia Song

These zinnias are growing outside my window and they didn't mind being models. This is acrylic and collage (from leftover printmaking) and some old sheet music. I applied the collage pieces after doing a contour drawing of the flowers and then either made them work or covered over them. There is some china marker and pen in there too. I tried outlining the flowers but didn't like the way they looked so I painted over them. This was fun and it forced me to loosen up a little. 10x10 on watercolor paper

Thank you Terri, I need to experiment with all the papers that are available for making collage pieces. I only have some old rice paper now but it works.
