I recently heard a quote about pen and ink which is also a medium that takes a long time. He suggested you just enjoy the process. It all depends on your goal and what you enjoy.

I too, take that view, Anne. I don’t mind the time it takes - for me, it is a question of seeing something appear on the page in its own time and enjoying the process. I find I be ome immersed in the work and time doesn’t matter. People are always saying that coloured pencil work is slow, but I don’t find that when using them - it is what it is!
