What a vibrant dark that transparent orange over the blue in the lower right corner makes, Martin C! I wonder what color you would get if you mixed those two colors directly?

I'm using brilliant blue and cadmium orange from the Liquitex heavy body series (numbers 570 & 150), and their reflectance only has something in common around 550 nm, centred on green, so I'd guess the result will be a very dull almost achromatic green. I'll test it next time I've got them out!
