SoCal: veil of rain over the beach
It never rains in southern California but it sometimes does. A veil rand over the beach.

It does too rain here! Okay, not like Seattle or something, but it rains. Remember El Nino?

I spent year in Vancouver BC. We used to visit Seattle for the weekend sometimes. I had intentions of staying in BC and buying some land on Vancouver Island, until our first an only winter there. Arrived in mid-October. November is rained 29 days and snowed one. I finished my contract in mid-September and we left for Toronto the next day.
