There’s a story behind this one, for sure. I love the bold graphic shapes and being able to see the wood panel. The small details must be meaningful too - the pens in the pocket and the cigarettes. Very cool piece, Ayin!

Oh wow…I love this one and might be one of my favorites of your snapshot series. SO good. I like the simplicity of the whole composition but the complex wall pattern adds just the right amount of “noise.” I like what seems to be - at first glance - a loving portrait of a father and his son/sun. But the blood, cigs, and horns say…”whoops, there’s more here than meets the eye.” Even the metal contraption thing under the lazy boy recliner chair suggests something unstable.

In my opinion, a painting with a nice balance of tension is simply satisfying. Like this one. I don’t understand why that is or how it happens but in any case…

Golf Clap!

Thank you VERY much, Olive! I am so happy about what you wrote for this. You made my day! ♥️ ♥️ ♥️

This painting envolks "heightened noticing" - (a theory of Peter Schjeldahl -art critic)
That the validity of any kind of aesthetic experience lies in the quality of attention brought to bear upon it.

Thanks Bongo. Great compliment. I'm flying.

St. Luke, I wish I'd had some for this. Had to use gold oil paint instead.

Really nice Artyczar. Evokes a lot of feelings .. I like the theory of "heightened noticing" Bongo.. that is apt.

Thank you, Mississippi Hippie and Jade! I, too really like the idea of heightened noticing as well. This is a cool theory that would make an argument for what art is.
