I have such normal items. I don't have any fresh veggies except lettuce and I didn't want to get it out. Lazy me. In the Conda sketchbook with Micron 03.

I sketched at the farmer's market in Sayville this morning.

JoC - wow, that man looks pretty anxious waitting for the dentist!! Poor thing. That is an interesting colored window.

Jade - nice pencil work and variety...Great job on everything....lovely flowers, the kitty face is their usual thoughtful look and the mouth and nose look just like they should!!! Tortoise is enjoying a lift in water .

Joan - nice sketches....sunbathing is great past time. Man, somebody is a great gardner!

Ai - the auto inspection is really wide open...and in 8 minutes!!! lovely!! Thanks for the before and after color experience....all very inspiring and enjoyable Nice contrast between the structures along the waterside....I like the blues, greys and browns

You reminded me of a subject that I can draw,

Curiosity, a box of beans but as an image the photo of one of my favorite Italian actors. In the movies, they were a couple, he gigantic, a good bear,remember a good bear , his friend, remember me a fox, blue eyes, blond, very clever, both good, and who were against violence and injustices, they did not use weapons but found themselves facing injustices and armed criminals and ended up in scams that brought justice.

Often there was a binge in every movie, they were hungry and it happened that they could then eat, possibly tons of beans . Bud Spencer and Terence Hill, were art names,English name chosen for the first film, they did so in the late 70s for Italian westerns produced with little money, all the director's cast had English names, invented, their couple liked it became very famous and so they kept these names, some movies, the former were westerns but funny

At the supermarket I bought two jars of these beans already seasoned,, they were also good but very spicy and for now I have only eaten one

Jo, thanks. The boats are docked along a small channel that runs out to the Great South Bay. I'm never sure what the small waterways are called, but there are marinas and docks everywhere along them.

Joe, great hatching lines on our friend Eeyore. You do him so well.

Jade - really nice work on the portrait and the cat. Especially like how you did the hair. Love the turtle!! The floral face is very cool.

Joan - The sunflowers and old truck has a classic look to it. The lady lounging and the picket fence images have a very different look from your normal style but cannot figure why. The Farmers Market painting is back to your regular style Now with trees I can see the difference in that one is that there is no pen work but still your typical style.

Jo - something good came from a dental visit. We went the other day for cleaning. No complaints but ended up needing a root canal. LOL. Why do pepper and Pinto beans sound so Texas to me? Nice sketches.

Ai - 8 minutes? It takes me longer to decide which pencil grade to start with WOW I and a great finish. Great find of Temple and rotting boat together. A stark contrast in elegance and decay.

Robin - Think you are the Queen of hatching! Not the largest item on the page but I especially liked the cut pepper.

Joe - Nice work with the new old pen Eeyore and Donald both look great.

Fletch, I have a hard time sometimes deciding if I'm going to add ink to something I've painted first in watercolor. Because I usually work fairly small a lot of the time I'm itching to add ink to make it easier to see the details. Sometimes, like it the sketch of the street corner I go directly into sketching with ink. It helps me finish a complex scene faster.

Today I sketched at a historic house in Yaphank.

Hi, it is Mother Day National Holiday in Thailand (Aug 12), we all get a day off. I wish to take all my kids to good eat, but Lily has to join an intensive biology camp; so I will go with Tone, and Iris to my favorite cafe/bistro. I did called my mother the other day. BTW, I am heading to AsiaLink Sketch-Walk at Phuket (South of Thailand) tomorrow for a few days. Hope to get some sketches post here.
