The St. Thomas Cathedral Basilica, and National Shrine of St. Thomas is popularly referred to by Chennaiites as Santhome Church. The present structure was built in the early 16th century.

This is my 12 cm x 16 cm pen and ink sketch, on 150 gsm cartridge paper, made on location at Urban Sketchers, Chennai’s 45th sketchmeet a week ago.

Another excellent piece. I really enjoy the coach - it adds to the scale and composition.

Thank you Joy.

The number and variety of vehicles using an Indian road at any one time is rather high. I just picked two, out of my imagination, and added them.
